The next time you find yourself down on the driving range take a look around at all those divots. We all love to practice right? Ok, maybe not all of us, but the examples in this video show you the typical varieties of divot patterns you’re likely to see. Taking divots the right way drastically improves the turf health and recovery time and creates a better surface from which to practice.

June Is Heating Up

As we say farewell to one of the nicest Mays I can remember, we look forward to summer. June is when all the activity begins. We have a full slate of events planned, so don’t miss out. The official calendar of events can be found HERE. You should get in the habit of checking it periodically for both member and outside events which might limit course access.

Next week we see the start of many of our leagues. On Monday we will begin our TBII Cup round one. The SCC Professionals (as well as Scott Rossi and Myself…we can hold our own) will each captain a team of members in a two best ball gross and net monthly pro-am. Tee times are available throughout the week based on our work schedules. Call the golf shop for more details.

Monday also is the start of the Ladies Quota League. This event is all about fun but with just a hint of competitive bragging rights. Don’t let that discourage you; trust me, like I say to my picky eater son…”try it once, you just might like it.” But…
