Event Update & Results

What an exciting month it's been. There are a lot of results to report on starting with the Women's Classic that was held on June 18-19. The event was a huge success and we managed to grow it slightly from the previous year. The winners of the Championship Flight was the team of Stowe's own Jena Wood & guest Carolyn Romano, followed by the team of Josie Herrera & Dana Cassidy. First Flight winner  Sue Bagley & Dixie Mercier with runners up Polly Manosh and Tracy Webster. The combined 27 hole gross winners was the team of Josie Herrera and Dana Cassidy with the net 27 hole winners Kerry Sedutto and Judy Riboloni.

Stowe Cup

The marquee event of the season is drawing near. Your annual Member-Guest is scheduled for the weekend of July 23-24 and all members are encouraged to participate, no matter your skill level or competitive inclination. It is really a terrific event that is all about fun competition and enjoying the course and club with your golfing friends.

Entry Fee is $200 per team

11:00 AM         Qualifying Round Tee Times Begin

Format:                        Four-Ball Stroke Play

Women play from the Red tees
Men play from the White tees

The Better-Ball of Partners is scored for each hole. Teams will qualify into flights based on their team score. The flights will be as follows:

Goat Flight – Eight Lowest Qualifying Scores
National Flight – Qualifying Scores 9 through 16

Net Match Play

Reminder; the Net Match boards are posted on the bulletin board near the coffee station. The first round ends on 7/17, so please try and get your match scheduled with your opponent. We are often asked about what happens when a match can't seem to be scheduled? If one

The Gross Match Play will be a little different this year. Qualifying will take place for the entire month of August. Those interested in attempting to qualify would pay a $10 fee for each attempt in the golf shop prior to teeing off. Play would commence from the designated event spot for each hole and score cards must be signed, attested and returned to the golf shop on the day of play.
